So tasty! I had it last night and loved it, which is a big deal because I don’t usually like red meat. I added some fresh herbs from the garden in the meat and sprinkled some red pepper in the sauce when it was simmering.

Panko breadcrumbs, where have you been all my life?
Very tasty and quick and I really liked the texture of the meatballs. I’ll be making these again for sure.
Because the meatballs are mini, I could see a variation that substitutes marinara sauce with homemade sweet and sour sauce (grape jelly/chili sauce) as an appetizer.

Even my fussy eaters gobbled these up! Next time, I’ll double the batch so we can have them for lunch the next day.

Probably not a recipe that I’ll make again unless it’s requested. Everyone enjoyed the sandwiches, but this is definitely a “guy food” recipe.

I had never made meatballs before and couldn’t believe how easy and tasty these were…served with a salad and everyone was happy. I do think lightly toasting the rolls (maybe with a little garlic butter) would have added a nice texture to the sandwiches as everything is a bit mushy when the recipe is followed as written.

Loved the texture of the meatballs. My 6 year old said they were just her size and she actually ate them!

I made a double batch of the meatballs and used the extras in the 16 minute Bowtie Lasagna the next day. I toasted the buns for the sandwiches because I don’t like soggy buns. Great quick and easy meal!

This was a winner all around. I was impressed with how fast it was and the kids liked that the onions were not mixed into the balls. I liked that the meatballs were sauteed in the onions. Before bed, I made two more batches of meatballs to freeze.

We thought this was really yummy. I think next time I’ll put more seasonings in the meat but other than that it turned out awesome!

We loved these. I’ve done them twice (I froze the meatballs, that worked great). I used hoagie buns and toasted them for a full-sized sandwich, and substituted mozzarella because my husband’s not a provolone lover. I would definitely use marinara sauce and not chunky spaghetti- they’re messy to eat as is!

Ree, I amped up your ‘mini’ sandwich into one that better suited my 6’4″ 400lb boyfriend. I used 2 lbs of ground chuck and made many many minis. I loaded them onto a man sized italian loaf of bread and he downed it in no time. (I manged to save enough for a regular sized sandwich for myself) And I must say I was impressed that no marinara sauce landed on my cream colored couches.
Yum! Thanks!

My husband and I fell asleep thinking about these the other night. Can’t wait to try them!
