Description

This is the fastest pizza dough recipe I have ever used! A total lifesaver at the end of the day. The honey flavor enhances the overall pizza taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Yeast, 0.25 Ounce Packet - I Use The Fast Rising Or Pizza Dough Specific Kind
  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 2-½ cups All-purpose Flour

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Mix yeast and warm water in a bowl, stir to combine.
3. Add oil, honey, and seasonings to the yeast and water.
4. Toss the flour into the same bowl.
5. Use a spoon or your hands to combine the dough.
6. If you’re in a hurry just mix it enough that it is all combined, you do not even have to kneed the dough.
7. Let rest for 8-10 minutes. Sometimes I even skip this step if I am really in a hurry.
8. Spread out on a greased pizza pan and top with whatever toppings you desire.
9. Bake for approximately 12 minutes, depending on how crunchy you prefer your dough.

*** Note on Seasonings: Sometimes I mix in minced onion, poppy seeds, basil or oregano into the dough along with the garlic salt and onion powder depending on what mood my palate is in.
***Note on Speediness: For me this pizza dough usually is a little different each time I make it depending on how warm my one cup of water really was or how long I let it set or not set or if I decided to measure my flour that day. You can easily morph it into thick and doughy and a little soft by increasing the water amount and decreasing the cook time and vice versa by adding a bit more flour and lengthening the cook time. Or just wing it and enjoy the adventure that cooking can be.

I was a little skeptical about using honey in my pizza dough, but it was so delicious! Thanks for a great, super easy recipe! This is definitely my go to pizza dough recipe from now on!

This was AWESOME! I used regular yeast, so I let it proof and gave myself a little rise time (not as much as I normally would), and it was so delicious!

This is the easiest pizza dough I have ever made! I will never buy store-bought pizza dough again, it doesn’t taste as good and it’s not as easy to work with as this recipe. We made two batches of it; covering one in cheese for cheesy bread sticks and made the other into a delicious hamburger and green olive pizza. We’re going to try this recipe on the grill this summer!
