Description

Tangy and sweet chicken wings, with just the right amount of
garlic.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1-¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • ¼ cups Water (omit For A Thicker Sauce)
  • ⅓ cups Ketchup
  • ⅓ cups Barbecue Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Margarine, Or Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar (or You Can Use White Vinegar)
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Finely Minced (Medium Cloves)
  • 3 pounds Chicken Wings, Split In Half With Tips Removed

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 F. Lightly oil a roasting pan.

Combine honey, dry mustard, paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, water, ketchup, barbecue sauce, margarine, vinegar, Worcestershire, brown sugar and garlic in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.

Dip wings in sauce then lay flat side down in roasting pan. Cover with remaining sauce.

Bake 45 minutes, basting often. Turn wings over and bake until tops are well-browned and wings are thoroughly cooked (another l5-20 minutes). Broil for the last couple of minutes on lowest rack of oven to crisp top of wings.

**This sauce is also fantastic on deep fried chicken wings, just fry your wings and toss them with this sauce.

This tasted great!!
I didn’t want to heat up my oven so I poached the frozen chicken wings for20-25 mins. on the stove top, drained off the liquid, added the mixed up sauce to the wings and reduced the sauce on high heat for about 10 minuntes, stirring the chicken wings until the sauce was sticky and thick. It was fast and didn’t heat up the house.
