The only rule in my kitchen is “Make it from scratch, and make it your own.”
I grew up on this, and chicken just doesn’t taste right without it. It can also be used on pork, and potatoes. My dad even ventured out and made liver nuggets with it.
Blend the ingredients together.
We keep this in a large Ziplock bag in the freezer, and re-use over and over again.
Simply shake your meat (pork or poultry) in the mix before baking. The drippings make excellent gravy.

I don’t have a deep fryer so, I have no idea Shari.
I do know that this is a family favorite, and it is a great ‘dry gift’ for Christmas. If you want to whip some up and put it in some canning jars, make it pretty, and give it away to neighbors – I’m sure they’ll appreciate it!

Thanks. I won’t buy store-bought Shake ‘n Bake because of MSG and preservatives.
This is a terrific recipe.

Here I sit with a brand new Fry Daddy & a pkg of chicken tenders to try on it’s maiden voyage tonight..
Here you come with a great sounding mix to use as the coating for my chicken.. It’s destiny!!!

So you use this for baking only? It sounds like it might come in handy for frying also.
