Delicious! I used frozen chicken breast because that’s what I had on hand and I didn’t have an issue with the sauce being too liquidity. So simple! Thanks for sharing!

Made this for my family last night and only 1 person really liked it. The rest thought it was too sweet… I used regular Sweet Baby Ray’s and did not put the extra pineapple juice in… I did use Kings Hawaiian sub-rolls. I might try it again but with a spicy BBQ sauce and maybe kaiser rolls…

We made this tonight. I used KC Masterpiece in ours and opted not to add the pineapple juice for a spicier end product. After cooking for so many hours it lost a bit of the spiciness so I added a smidge of garlic, pepper and a wee bit more BBQ sauce and they were amazing. Very tender meat and so easy. Thank you for sharing

We loved this recipe. It was so easy and perfect for a large group of people. I only used about 1/4 can of the pineapple juice and Open Pit BBQ sauce (which is not very sweet) and it was great. Not too sweet and not too vinegary.

I made this yesterday for dinner. It was delicious! I used Sticky Fingers Carolina Sweet BBQ sauce and totally omitted the pineapple juice. Surprisingly, it wasn’t overly sweet as I had feared it would be. It was amazing on sub rolls and tonight I’m tempted to try the leftovers on pizza.

Made this for dinner last night and all the kids gave it a big thumbs up, but dad thought it too sweet. I think next time I’ll use a BBQ sauce with more kick and not put the juice from the pineapple in. Those in our family eating gluten free ate this over brown rice. Delish!

This is a recipe that has so much potential to knock your socks off! You can put virtually anything in the crock pot with that chicken and it will turn out well. For folks who expect a sandwich that’s a bit more savory, just forget the pineapple (or add them at the end) and grab a BBQ sauce that fits your flavor needs. Sweet Baby Ray’s – for as much as I love it with pretty much everything else – was too sweet for me with the pineapple, but my Hawaiian husband thought it was tasty.

Fantastic!!!
I used Stubbs BBQ (Original) and just a tad of the pineapple juice. Not overly sweet and the Stubbs had a nice kick!

I made this today and we all loved it! A nice change from using pork or beef. Followed the recipe and it turned out wonderfully! I will definitely make it again. I served it with homemade fries.

Made this yesterday and it was pretty good. Husband really thought it got better the second day. We used the Sweet Baby Rays and no juice.

Yah!!! I am so glad you posted this, a good idea for supper. I will have to try it sometime, but I’m going to just use what I have, cooked chicken in the fridge and BBQ sauce in the pantry. I love BBQ and cole slaw…..I will try yours though soon, the pineapple juice sounds like a great addition. we love BBQ in the spring and summer. Thanks for posting.

This was great. We used Stubb’s BBQ Sauce, a little pineapple juice and served it on King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. YUM!

Just made this tonight and it was fantastic.
I used just a tad of the juice. It was not overly sweet at all. I used Stubbs BBQ Sauce and it give it a little kick, which I love. I think, however, I might go for a little more meat.
Thanks for sharing.

I made this last night, threw everything in the crock pot at 8pm, and got up at 4 to set it onto low (promptly went back to bed)… oooh my. I loved it, the boyfriend loved it. And yep, easy. I opted for the crushed pineapple, no added juice, and “famous dave’s bbq sauce”. Tangy, not too sweet.

Great recipe! I will drain the pineapple next time because the ‘sauce’ was too thin. Everyone loved it!
