Description

This sauce is out-of-this-world, over-the-top delicious. Even if you think you don’t like blue cheese, give it a try! (Guys love it.)

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Ribeye Steaks
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 whole Very Large Yellow Onion, Sliced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • ½ cups Crumbled Blue Cheese

Preparation

Salt and pepper both sides of the steaks. Grill in 2 tablespoons butter until medium rare.

Saute onions in 4 tablespoons butter over high heat. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until dark and caramelized. Reduce heat to simmer and pour in cream. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until reduced by half. Stir in blue cheese until melted. Serve steaks on generous portion of sauce.

Faint.

I loved it, my husband loved it, my mom loved it, my brother said he didn’t like it (isn’t a fan of blue cheese) but he still ate it. We used the leftover sauce on burgers the next night, delicious!

I finally made this tonight-I usually only eat a tiny bit of steak-but I couldn’t get enough of it with this sauce! It tasted better and better with every bite!! Yum-Thanks Ree!

I love love this sauce. But I love blue cheese. My husband does not care for blue cheese and didn’t enjoy the sauce as much as I did.
