Description

Amazing tangy and spicy spare ribs cooked in the crock pot. It doesn’t get easier than this!

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • ¾ cups Ketchup
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons White Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • ¼ cups Water
  • 1 whole Onion
  • 2 pounds Boneless Pork Spare Ribs

Preparation

Mix salt, pepper, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper and water. Pour half of the sauce mixture into a crock pot insert, sprayed with cooking spray. Chop onion into quarters and place on top of sauce. Place spare ribs on top of the onions and sauce. Add remaining sauce. Cook 6-8 hours on low. Plate and top with additional sauce.

Enjoy!

Tip: if you like a lot of sauce (which I do), double the batch. This is also fantastic over baked or mashed potatoes!

I don’t like wet ribs or ketchup based sauces in general but these were pretty good. I put my dry spice rub on them and put all the sauce in the bottom and let them cook dry on top of the onions. Then I just used the sauce for dipping. Spicey, tangy, and easy. Thanks!
