Description

Flavorful steak and blue cheese meet pizza crust for a scrumptious dinner.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • ¼ cups Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Minced Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Steaksauce Of Your Choice
  • 3 dashes Red Pepper Flakes
  • FOR THE PIE:
  • 1 can Refrigerated Pizza Crust Cough, 13.8 Ounce Size
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 ounces, weight Mushrooms, Sliced
  • ½  Red Onion, Sliced
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 pound Steak, Cut Of Your Choice
  • 1 cup Shredded Italian Cheese Mix (Typically Mozzarella, Parmesan, And Romano)
  • 1 cup Spinach, Torn Into Pieces
  • ½ cups Bleu Cheese Crumbles

Preparation

Season your steak with salt and pepper and allow to “marinate” for at least an hour. prior to starting.

Preheat oven to 400 F.

Roll out the refrigerated pizza crust and put it onto your pizza pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.

In a blender, pulse together 1/4 cup olive oil, minced garlic, steak sauce and red pepper flakes.

Remove crust from oven, spread sauce mixture evenly over dough.

In the meantime, in a skillet over medium heat, saute the onions and mushrooms in the remaining olive oil until they reach your desired tenderness. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Using either a grill pan or an outdoor grill over medium high heat, prepare your steak until it is medium-rare. For medium rare this should take about 6 minutes per side but will depend on the thickness of the steak. Remove steak from heat and let it rest for a few minutes, then slice into thin strips.

Place sauted mushrooms and onions over the sauced dough and then sprinkle the Italian cheeses over top. Bake in the oven for 10-15 more minutes.

When the cheese is melted, remove the pizza from oven. Distribute steak strips over the top, along with torn spinach and bleu cheese crumbles.

Enjoy!
