Description

An easy, quick and delicious dinner!

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Tilapia Fillets (I Used Fresh, I Think Frozen Would Work Too)
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter, At Room Temperature
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • ¼ teaspoons Thyme
  • ¼ cups Parmesan Cheese
  • Lemon Wedges Or Slices For Garnish

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Pat tilapia dry (if frozen, it should be thawed first) with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper. Lay on a baking sheet sprayed with non-stick spray and bake for 10-12 minutes. While fish is baking, mix butter with garlic, thyme and parmesan cheese.

Remove fish from oven and gently flip. Spread about 1/2 tablespoon of butter mixture on the fish, and heat the broiler in your oven. Set fish under the broiler for about 2-3 minutes, or until cheese gets golden and bubbly.

Serve with lemon.

Wow, this was delicious! I used thawed, frozen tilapia fillets that were fairly thin, so I only baked the fish 5 minutes before adding the topping and putting under the broiler. It smelled so good while broiling and the fish was very moist and flavorable.

Are you using shredded or grated Parmesan cheese? I can’t wait to try this!

Yum! It looks like a lot of cheese to me, but I love cheese :)

How sweet it was! Well, not actually sweet but you get the point. It was amazing. I don’t think I could’ve had a better piece of tilapia than if I’d ordered it at Red Lobster. This was definitely restaurant quality and ready in what, like 15 MINUTES?!?!? Yep, this is how I’m making tilapia from now on. Thank you!

Wow. We don’t even like fish, but wanted to change things up around here. So good! Not to mention easy and fast. Even the kids liked it.

The cheese mixture did not cover even half of the fish… but that part with cheese/butter was totally awesome. I’ll double the topping next time.
