Description

This recipe is pretty good because it’s so full of flavor, different from any other recipe and you can alter this to be lighter, simply by purchasing ingredients with less fat and use cooking spray in the casserole dish.

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoons Seasoned Salt
  • ½ Tablespoons Dry Minced Onions
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • 2 cups Small Curd Cottage Cheese
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 3 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese (Sharp Or Medium Or Both), Divided
  • 1 whole Egg, Slightly Beaten
  • 2 cups Uncooked Elbow Macaroni
  • Paprika

Preparation

Heat oven to 350ºF and grease a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

In a large bowl, add the dry seasonings, cottage cheese, sour cream, 2 ½ cups of the cheddar cheese and the beaten egg. Mix well and set aside to allow the flavors to come together.

Meanwhile, cook the macaroni according to directions and drain. Add the macaroni to the large bowl and mix until well combined.

Pour into the baking dish and spread out evenly. Top with the remaining ½ cup of cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Bake for 35-45 minutes.

Allow it to cool slightly. Get a knife or a spatula and cut yourself a big piece.

DELICIOUS!! Thanks for sharing this recipe. This is the best Mac & Cheese I’ve had. I will be making this over and over again. I served it with Fresh Green Beans and a Green Salad for a great meal. I recommend this recipe to anyone looking for a great Mac & Cheese!
