Description

Super easy Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken. Yum!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • ½ cups Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 3 teaspoons Fresh Grated Ginger, I Use "Dorot" Brand Of Fresh Frozen
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Grated Garlic, I Use "Dorot" Brand Of Fresh Frozen
  • 4  Chicken Breasts, Boneless And Skinless

Preparation

In the insert of a 5- or 7-quart crockpot, place the soy sauce and brown sugar and mix well. Pop in the ginger and garlic and stir.

Add the chicken and turn to coat with the sauce. Cover and cook on High for 4-5 hours, turning the meat once halfway through the cooking.

I serve this with white rice. Yum.

Note: I’m not sure if all crockpots cook the same that is why there is a variance in cooking time. I have a brand new one and it is awesome and cooks really hot on high. So just make sure you check if the chicken is done before serving.

Serves 4.

Enjoy.

I made this tonight and it was great! I started by making it exactly as the recipe, and it would have come out fantastic, but I added some fresh garlic and a touch of sesame oil. Even without my additions, I’d have given it a 5 star. It will definitely go in our rotation of meals. This would also be fantastic to marinade chicken in for a few hours before placing it on the grill.
