Description

A chili that’s healthy but tastes very rich and doesn’t make you feel so guilty when you plop it upon a pile of Fritos and top with cheese!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Lean Ground Turkey Breast (or Chicken)
  • 1 whole White Onion, Chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, Pressed Or Finely Chopped
  • 1 whole Green Bell Pepper, Seeded And Chopped
  • ½ cups Chopped Celery
  • 4 cans 15 Oz Each, Beans (kidney, Pinto, Black... You Decide)
  • 1 can 12 Oz Chopped Tomato
  • 1 can (15 Oz.) Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Oregano Leaves
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Basil Leaves
  • ¼ teaspoons Tabasco Sauce
  • 1 whole Bay Leaf

Preparation

Brown ground turkey in a large skillet, adding chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper and celery about halfway through. Pour into crock pot.

Add remaining ingredients to crock pot and cook on low for 6 hours.

You can eat as is, but we like to put some Fritos on the bottom of the bowl, add the chili, and top with shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
