This was super easy and quite tasty! I made this in about 20 minutes for my boys, for lunch, today. It is very creamy!
(The only change I made was to use a combo of 2% milk and heavy cream, since I didn’t have whole milk on hand. Plus, I just tossed in some grated cheddar cheese, simply because it was there.)
I will probably use Velveeta next time, just to save my cheese slices for sandwiches! ![]()
I can tell, though, that this recipe is yummy as is, without the changes I made.
Will make again!
Thanks for sharing this easy recipe.

I loved this so much, I had never made homemade mac and cheese because I thought the sauce would be difficult…I was so wrong. I will never ever eat a boxed mac and cheese again. Ever.

Another big hit in my house. I’ve made this recipe a few times, and everyone loves it. Two changes I made was using 1/2 milk and 1/2 whipping cream and using Irish butter….just to make it richer!

I was so excited to try this, but I wasn’t able to make it work. I didn’t get the ‘cheesy’ flavor (maybe because I used off-brand singles?) at all. It was creamy, but bland. I ended up adding some Lawry’s seasoned salt, garlic powder, and a tad of Worcestershire sauce to try and amp up the flavor, and that helped, however didn’t make up for the lack of cheesiness.
I feel bad giving this 2 mitts, especially when so many other people loved it–maybe I did something wrong on my end?

Delicious and so easy! My boyfriend devoured it in a matter of minutes! I used more than 2 dashes of cayenne pepper, just to give it more of a kick. Thanks for the recipe – definitely a keeper!

Good stuff. I did not use the cheese singles; I used regular cheese I had on-hand instead. It is definitely creamy and yummy! I added more than a couple dashes of cayenne pepper for some extra spice and used 1% milk instead of whole. This will be a go-to recipe for me. Thanks for sharing!

Pretty sure this is our new favorite mac n cheese! The baked versions always come out too dry for me. This was perfectly creamy.

Really good and super easy to make! I used 4 slices of American Cheese and about a cup or so of shredded mild cheddar cheese and it was rich, creamy and delicious! My kids who are picky mac and cheese eaters gobbled it up. Definitely will make again! Thanks!

I decided at the very last minute on Christmas Day that I needed a mac n cheese dish. I ran to TK and did a quick search. I had everything except the cheese slices, so I whipped it up. We used Stripey Jack,a little bit of parm and some gouda in the place of the sliced cheese. This was such a huge hit. My Mac and Cheese addicted brother loved it and he is really picky about his mac. The gouda gave it a great gourmet feel, but it was subtle enough that the kiddos all still loved it. Thanks for sharing!!! 14 thumbs up from my family!

Really good…If you use one cup of pasta, it will be very saucy, I had to cook some additional noodles to make it less so. Creamy, comfort food!

I just made this and it was so satisfying and yummy and ridiculously easy to make!
I was always so lazy to make homemade mac and cheese because I would always grate my own cheese and then bake it and yada yada yada… but I loved the fact that it was a no hassle recipe and I was able to cut the ingredients in half to make it enough for just me. =) Loved it! Thanks for posting!
