Description

These spicy burgers will have you begging for seconds. Shhh, don’t tell anyone they are healthy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Chicken
  • 2 whole Green Onions, Chopped
  • ½ whole Red Pepper, Diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Cilantro, Minced
  • ½ teaspoons Season All Salt
  • ⅛ teaspoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • ½ whole Lime, Juiced
  • 4 slices Pepper Jack Cheese
  • 4 whole Hamburger Buns, Sliced

Preparation

In a medium bowl, combine the chicken, onion, red pepper, cilantro, Season All salt, pepper and lime juice. Form into 4 patties and spray each side with cooking spray so they don’t stick.

Preheat the grill to about 500 F. Place the burgers on the hottest part of the grill. Grill for 3 minutes. Turn the grill down to medium high heat and flip the burgers to a cooler part of the grill. Grill for an additional 5 minutes. In the last minute of grilling, add the cheese to the top of the patties and allow it to melt. Before taking them off the grill be sure to make sure that they are no longer pink in the middle.

Serve on buns with Mayo/Miracle Whip or your favorite condiments.

Enjoy!

We made these recently, and everyone loved them. I was recently told by the doctor that I had to cut carbs, but these patties were so full of flavor, that they were excellent without the buns and condiments. We used the pepper jack, and they were so good. We had a few teenagers over for game night, and even after tripling the recipe, they were all eaten. I’ll be making them again for sure.
