Description

This is my favorite type of meal because you only use one skillet, which makes cleanup so easy. This is a delicious meal for a weeknight, and my husband even gobbles up the broccoli (and he’s not a veggie fan).

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 4 pieces Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, Thawed
  • 1-½ cup Water
  • ⅓ cups Teriyaki Sauce
  • ¼ cups Soy Sauce
  • ½ Tablespoons Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 cups Instant Rice (white Or Brown)
  • 1-½ cup Broccoli

Preparation

1. In a large skillet, heat oil to medium-high heat (make sure you have a lid for the skillet—you will need it later).

2. Cut chicken into strips (we usually season it with some garlic salt and red pepper flakes).

3. Add chicken to skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, until cooked through.

4. Add water, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder and red pepper flakes. Return to boil. (We like to add red pepper flakes to make it spicy, but it’s just as good without it.)

5. Add rice and broccoli and stir. Turn heat down to low and cover; cook for 5 minutes. Then let it sit for about 5 minutes before serving.

this was so yummy and easy. I could not stop eating this. I did add a little onion before adding the chicken. Thanks for a super delicious recipe

This was pretty good and super simple & fast for a weeknight dinner.

I didn’t have any broccoli on hand, but I did throw in some water chestnuts and mushrooms!
