Description

Tender, marinated chicken that is loaded with wonderful Greek flavors!

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves Garlic, Peeled And Minced
  • ¼ cups Greek Yogurt
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Oregano
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 2 whole Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 2  Pita Breads Or Flatbreads
  • Optional Toppings: Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Red Onions, Crumbled Feta Cheese, Greek Yogurt

Preparation

Combine the garlic, yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, vinegar, oregano and seasoning in a medium sized bowl (one that is big enough for the chicken too) and whisk to combine. Add the chicken breasts, place in the refrigerator and allow to marinate for at least one hour.

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Place chicken on a rimmed baking sheet that you’ve lined with aluminum foil and bake in a 400 F oven for about 25-30 or until the chicken is cooked through. Slice and serve in a pita or flatbread with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, crumbled feta cheese and a bit of Greek yogurt.

Very good, our family lived this recipe. We served the chicken on flatbread with a sauce similar to the marinade. I will make this dish often and will try adding smoked paprika also.

I added some smoked paprika powder to the marinade, just because i love the kick it gives. And i uses chicken thighs instead of breast. The chicken stays really moist. Great weekday meal!
