This is the chicken cordon bleu that I grew up eating… It wasn’t until I was in my teens that I realized it wasn’t the “real thing”. Quick, easy, and absolutely delicious it is great for a busy weeknight and it hits that special, comfort food spot!
Heat the oven to 350F and lightly grease the bottom of a baking dish large enough to fit all the pieces of chicken. Place chicken breasts in the dish and sprinkle the top with salt and pepper. Lay a piece of ham and then a piece of cheese on top of each chicken breast. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
Cook for 30-40 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
We love this with sour cream mashed potatoes and a big salad!
