Description

Can’t beat the freshness of a topping like bruschetta on a juicy burger!

Ingredients

  • ½ whole Green Pepper, Minced
  • 2 whole Mushrooms, Minced
  • ½ whole Onion, Minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Basil, Chopped Finely
  • 1 whole Egg
  • ¼ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Red Wine
  • 1 pound Ground Pork
  • 1 pinch Salt And Pepper
  • ½ cups Prepared Bruschetta
  • ½ cups Cheese Of Choice (provolone, Mozzarella, Shredded Parmesan)
  • 3 whole English Muffins, Halved And Toasted

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Saute pepper, mushrooms, onions and garlic and let cool. Combine basil, egg, Parmesan cheese and wine in a bowl. Add cooked vegetables and ground pork to the bowl and gently combine. Season with salt and pepper. Form into patties. Place on a broiler pan and cook for about 15 minutes.

Take cooked patties out of the oven and top each one with a spoonful of bruschetta and cheese. Turn broiler on and place burgers back into the oven. Cook until cheese is completely melted and slightly browned. Serve open-faced style on toasted English muffins.
