Description

My favorite chicken dish.

Ingredients

  • 10 tablespoons, 7 pinches Balsamic Vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 pieces Chicken Breast
  • 3 pieces Red Onions
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 13 tablespoons, 1-½ teaspoons, 1-¼ pinches Whipping Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Rosemary
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sage

Preparation

Cook the vinegar with the sugar until it has a creamy texture. Slice the chicken and the onions into strips. In a pan, heat the oil and first fry the onions; set aside. Fry the chicken in the same pan until lightly browned.

Add the onions, balsamic reduction and the whipping cream. Boil up and reduce the heat. Add the spices and enjoy with some pasta.

Put it in a small sauce pan or in a small pot. Make sure, that the vinegar covers the whole bottom. Bring to simmer on low heat.

This sounds really good, but I’m a bit unclear as how I’m suppose to cook the vinegar and sugar. In a sauce pan on the stove? If so, what heat setting?

I tried making this tonight…but it was hard with the vague instructions, and I did some improvising (used 1/2 teaspoon on all the spices and upped the brown sugar and the oil because the teaspoon didn’t even coat the pan). Really isn’t my thing and I absolutely love balsamic vinegar–I have been know to drink it straight out of the bottle! I know that if I don’t particularly care for this dish, that hubby won’t go for it at all. Sorry, but this really isn’t satisfying to me and didn’t smell that great cooking either.
