Sweet, sour and savory pasta.
Preheat oven to 400F.
Trim tough ends off asparagus, then slice the remaining stalks into 1 inch pieces. Toss with olive oil and salt and put on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the baking sheet from the oven and set aside.
Cook pasta according to package instructions.
Bring balsamic vinegar to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat and allow it to reduce to half. Remove vinegar from heat and stir in brown sugar and black pepper.
Drain pasta and put it into a serving bowl. Stir asparagus, vinegar mixture, butter and Parmesan into pasta.
Season steak with steak seasoning. Grill over medium high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove steak from heat and allow to sit for 2 minutes, then slice across the grain.
Serve pasta topped with steak and Parmesan cheese shavings.
