Description

Baked ziti with shredded chicken.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 24 ounces, weight Pasta Sauce (for Chicken)
  • 16 ounces, weight Penne Pasta
  • 24 ounces, weight Pasta Sauce
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded

Preparation

Cook chicken and 1 jar of the pasta sauce in a crockpot on low for 8 hours. Remove chicken from the sauce and shred it. Discard the extra sauce in the crockpot or use it for another use.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cook pasta according to package directions. When it’s done drain pasta and pour it into a 13×9-inch baking dish. Add chicken. Pour the second jar of sauce and half of the cheese over the pasta. Stir until well mixed.

Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top, and bake for 20 minutes or until cheese starts to brown.
