“Professional” Sandwich

by Sara and filed in Main Courses, Sandwiches

A light and refreshing, but still thouroughly satisfying, sandwich. The tartness and creaminess of the gorgonzola compliments the sweetness and crunch of the pear – so well-constituted, it almost seems pro.

A trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma inspired my new favorite pizza, topped with jalapenos, mozzarella, pineapple, and BBQ chicken.

“Of Course I Slaved For Hours” Slow Cooker Pot Roast

by Michigal and filed in Beef, Main Courses

This recipe will be so tasty, so tender and so unique that people will think you slaved over it for hours, when in fact your slow cooker did all the work. Fall flavors are perfect on a cold day!

“I’m a Good Mommy” Steel Cut Oatmeal

by jigger and filed in Breakfast, Slow Cooker

This is the world’s easiest way to make sure your kids have a hot, yummy breakfast before they run off to school. Usually, steel cut oatmeal takes a really long time and instant oatmeal is sort of gross. So I found a great way to make steel cut oatmeal in the crock pot with minimal effort. It’s very good for my parental ego.

“It’s Too Easy” Pork Chops and Rice Casserole

by srpotts and filed in Main Courses, Pork

This is a delicious yet very simple recipe that could be an entire meal in itself. It would be great served with fresh steamed corn on the cob too. Yum! My 2-year-old loves this so much, she had 3rds last time I made it. I find that the rice needs a little salt when it’s finished cooking to add that last bit of flavor.

Nancy is the Coupon Clipping Cook, which means she not only has an astounding number of recipes to share with us (her TK recipe box is busting at the seams!) but she's also got loads of money-saving tips in her blog (she worked at a grocery store for a number of years, so she knows her stuff). She has some pretty amazing creations, like Roasted Garlic Potato Soup and Nutty Coconut Chicken. Go check them out!

Meet Heather

Heather is a Texas native and the blogger behind Heather's Dish. She's mom to Weston, wife to Nate, and they live in Little Rock, Arkansas with their two "stubborn and saucy" dogs Bunker and Keira. In her blog, she shares her photographs, random musings (serious and silly alike), and all kinds of scrumptious recipes---and not just evil variations of her favorite mac and cheese. Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!
