Description

The ultimate comfort food sandwich. Perfect year round!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Crusty Fresh Bread
  • 2 slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 slices Provolone Cheese
  • 2 slices Pepperjack Cheese
  • 2 slices Tomato, Thin
  • 2 slices Red Onion, Thin
  • 1 sprig Basil Finely Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter For Bread

Preparation

Lay two slices of bread on a plate.

Place 2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese on one piece of the bread.

Add the 2 slices of provolone and 2 slices of pepperjack cheese on top of that.

Next place 2 tomato slices on top of cheese. Add the red onion to top of the tomato and sprinkle with some finely chopped basil.

Cover with other slice of bread and spread 1 tablespoon of butter over top of bread.

Flip sandwich over and repeat with the remaining butter. Cook on low heat for about 5 minutes per side until cheese is melted. Remove and enjoy!

This was delicious. I love cheese. Make sure you really cook it on low so the bread browns and the cheddar melts. I used dried basil because I was out of fresh but it was still good. Also used rye bread because that’s all I had. Really tasty sandwich.
