Description

This is the ultimate comfort food. With a cream sauce and slices of spicy chicken throughout, you really can’t go wrong with this dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Chicken Breast, Sliced Thin
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 3 whole Green Onions, Chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Creole Seasoning
  • 12 ounces, fluid Heavy Cream
  • 1 pound Bowtie Noodles

Preparation

Slice chicken into thin strips. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt the butter on medium heat, then add in the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until no longer pink. Add in the remaining ingredients (except pasta). Bring to a boil then turn the heat down and simmer for 3-5 minutes.

Meanwhile, while the sauce is thickening, bring a pot of water to a boil, throw the noodles in and boil for 7 minutes (or otherwise directed on the package). When the noodles are done cooking, drain the water out and pour noodles into the pasta sauce. Stir till all the noodles are covered in sauce. Serve with a slice of French bread and a green salad.

I’m sorry to say I did not like this dish at all, but I truly believe it had NOTHING to do with the recipe but the Creole seasoning instead (which is also why I’m commenting instead of rating to be fair). I’m a Cali girl and we just don’t have a lot of Creole over here so I had never had it before. I found some Creole seasoning at Winco (Lousiana’s Best or something like that) and followed the recipe exactly (which I have to say sounded DELICIOUS!) and I took one bite and had to spit it out. Whatever they put in that seasoning burned like a mother and somehow had the aftertaste of fish. SO…all this to say that if you don’t know what Creole is, make sure you get some GOOD quality seasoning so you don’t ruin a perfectly lovely dish! :) I would like to try this again if I ever get ahold of some decent Creole seasoning because with all the other wonderful comments and ratings, I KNOW it was the seasoning!! :)

Made this last night and at first my husband turned his nose up at it when I told him what we were having for dinner. Once it started cooking he thought it might be okay. Then he tasted it. He asked for the leftovers be packed up for his lunch the next day! This is so easy and smells soooo good but the taste is what really hooks you. Be prepared for more requests for this dish!!!

I love this! I use a cajun seasoning by McCormick. I also leave out the onions, but add zucchini, chicken and/or shrimp. It is so delicious!

This was a great dish! I added a little extra Creole seasoning than called for, but overall a delicious and quick meal!
