Description

If you’re in the mood for lasagna, but are out of time, try this!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Chuck
  • 5 cups Bow Tie Noodles
  • 3 cups Spaghetti Sauce (or Pizza Sauce, Whatever You Prefer)
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning (or More, Make It To Your Taste)
  • ½ cups Mozzarella Cheese
  • ½ cups Sour Cream

Preparation

I am a “make it and taste it as I go” cook. I made this in a hurry tonight, and was amazed at the results; my girls could NOT get enough of it. (I love that kind of response, don’t get it as often as I wish.)

Fry ground chuck in small pan. Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package directions.

After noodles are cooked, drain and drizzle with olive oil. Mix in your spaghetti sauce. (I can’t guarantee your results on this, because I’m spoiled; I am a “home canner” and have the BEST sauce on my shelf, a home canned marinara sauce that I use for lots of stuff—pizza, spaghetti, and of course, THIS.)

Add your fried hamburger, seasonings, cheese, and sour cream. Fold together and allow it all to combine and melt together, over low heat, for about 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Serve to your family and be prepared to have it disappear before your very eyes.

What sort of monster oils their noodles? This makes the sauce not stick to the noodles, and should be the very first thing you learn not to do when cooking with pasta. Also, this has nothing to do with lasagna. Bad name, bad recipe, bad techniques.

Made this last night for my husband and son. It was a hit. I think next time I might make it with italian sausage for a little more kick to it. Can’t wait to make it for my daughter. She will love it.

This was easy to adapt. I cooked half an onion with the beef and tossed in sliced olives with the cheese. The sauce wasn’t quite enough for our liking, so I added 6 oz (a small can) of tomato juice to thin it out a bit.

If i could give this less than 1 star, I would. Terrible techniques, flavors are poorly built, and trust me and every other sane cook on earth; DO NOT OIL YOUR NOODLES!

I made this last night! I actually poured it all into a casserole dish, topped it with a little more marinara and cheese and baked it till the cheese melted. It was delicious. This will become a regular meal on our menu!

My husband loved this. He likes vodka sauce and I prefer red, so this was the perfect compromise. Super easy and quick to whip up. You can get everything ready while the noodles are cooking. Next time I’ll probably throw in some veggies. Great meal!

Really enjoyed this. Used ricotta in place of sour cream so make it more lasagna like. Delicious.
