Description

This is easy, simple, spicy, tangy and tasty! If you like Sriracha, you have to try this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Oil, Plus 1 Teaspoon To Fry The Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Smashed And Chopped
  • ½ cups Cabbage Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Sriracha Sauce
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice
  • ½ teaspoons Salt (or More To Taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 whole Egg

Preparation

Heat 3 tablespoons oil and add the garlic. Sauté for a few seconds and add the cabbage. Sauté until it is crisp-tender.

Add the soy sauce and Sriracha and mix. Add the rice and sauté until the grains are separate and all flavors are well combined. Taste and add salt if you feel the need.

Finally add sesame oil, mix and remove from heat.

In another pan, heat a teaspoon of oil and crack the egg carefully and sprinkle a tiny bit of salt. When it is set, flip and let it cook for a minute or so, if you don’t want a runny yolk like me.

Serve the rice hot with the fried egg on top.

I’m hoping to make this next week–I love rice and sriracha, and topping things off with an egg is totally my style. I’ll come back and let you know when I make it!

Very good! A great base for fried rice, and I like that there are no peas included!

Very good recipe. I only put in 1 tblsp of the Sriracha sauce, because I can’t tolerate that much heat…..but other than that, it was delicious!

I liked this recipe. Nice and simple. To kind of balance out the spice, I added some brown sugar. I also added onion, yellow bell pepper, and green onion. Good stuff!

Delicious! I added an onion and an extra garlic clove. 1.5 tablespoons of sriracha is more than enough to be very spicy! Perfect!

This recipe is outstanding! To balance the spiciness, I paired it with fresh sliced cucumbers with lime squeezed over the top.
