Description

Making your own V-8 vegetable juice is easy and offers a healthier, low-cost alternative to the sodium-laden store-bought counterpart.

Ingredients

  • 8 whole Carrots, Cut Into Chunks
  • 4 stalks Celery, Cut Into Chunks
  • 6  Tomatoes, Cut Into Chunks
  • 1 bunch Fresh Spinach
  • 1 bunch Parsley
  • ½ whole Onion
  • 1 whole Beet (small), Cut In Chunks
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 teaspoons Horseradish (optional)
  • 1 pinch Salt And Pepper
  • 1 sprig Fresh Basil For Garnishing

Preparation

Using a juicer or high-powered blender, add all of the ingredients (except for the basil). Put the lid on and blend well. Stir, chill and serve. Great over ice as well! Garnish with basil leaves.

Yields about 32 ounces of juice.
