Description

Do your kids like ketchup with basically anything? Mine do! This is an easy, quick recipe that you can feel good about giving to your family!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • ¼ cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ¼ cups Red Wine Vinegar
  • ¼ cups Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 can (28 Oz. Size) Tomato Puree
  • 1 can (12 Oz. Size) Tomato Paste
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Oregano

Preparation

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Once hot add garlic and saute garlic until fragrant, a minute or two. Add onion and cook until softened. Pour in vinegars, honey and salt. Bring to a boil. Add tomato puree and paste. Bring to a boil. Add in cloves and oregano. Cook until reduced and sauce thickens, about 15-20 minutes. Remove pan from heat. Pour the mixture into a blender (leave some space in the blender or the hot liquid could explode—blend in batches if needed) and blend until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use. Makes 30 ounces.
