One of my favorite readers, Courtney, requested this brownie recipe in a comment last week.
Here is what she said, “Can we have another VOTE?? Every post I am hopeful that I might open it up to find your recipe for scrumptious dark chocolate brownies … I am NEVER disappointed by your posts, but I am still hopeful that I may experience this recipe in the future …”
Now that is just too cute. How could I say no!?!
In a large bowl, blend almond butter with a hand blender until smooth.
Blend in eggs, then blend in agave and vanilla. Blend in cocoa, salt and baking soda, then fold in chocolate chips.
Grease a 9 x 13 pyrex baking dish. Pour batter into dish. Bake at 325°F for 35 to 40 minutes.

Oh my goodness…these are amazing! As a recent GF/DF person who dearly loved to bake, I thought I was never going to find a chocolate brownie recipe that worked and was delicious!
Like Supshell I used honey instead – and it worked just fine. I added some So Delicious coconut milk non-ice cream and had my very first GF/DF brownie sundae in months! Thank you, thank you for this recipe!

How do these work without flour!? I’m intrigued.

Made these tonight for Passover and they were delicious! They had a nice cakey texture and weren’t overly sweet. Thanks for posting the recipe! =)

My roommate is Celiac so I am constantly on the look out for baked goods that are gluten free so I can bake something that we both can enjoy. This recipe is the first gluten free recipe I have made that I TRULY enjoy! They are so delicious- very comparable to “normal” brownies.
I used peanut butter instead of almond butter. And honey instead of agave nectar. They turned out perfectly.
I will definitely make these again- even when my roommate moves out!
