Soak Brazil nuts and vanilla bean in a large bowl of water for 8 hours. Discard the soaking water and rinse the Brazil nuts and vanilla bean.
Blend Brazil nuts, vanilla bean and the listed amount of water in a Vitamix or other high-powered blender until smooth. Use a nut milk bag set over a bowl to strain the pulp out of the milk. Discard pulp or set aside for another use.
