Description

Just like the classic fudge recipes but without the sugar. Naturally sweetened with dates!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SYRUP:
  • ½ cups Pitted Dates
  • ½ cups Water
  • FOR THE FUDGE:
  • ½ cups Pitted Dates
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa
  • 3 Tablespoons Melted Coconut Oil
  • ¼ cups Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
  • 1 dash Sea Salt, to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Unsweetened Coconut Flakes (garnish)

Preparation

1. Make the date syrup first. Combine the dates and water in a food processor and blend until a liquid is formed.
2. Add the remaining ingredients (excluding the last amount of coconut which is for garnish) to the date syrup in the food processor and blend until well combined.
3. Press into a small pan or baking dish. (I used a 5″ casserole dish. I also lined it with parchment paper for easy clean-up.)
4. Place in the fridge to set for about an hour. Cut into squares and sprinkle with remaining coconut flakes.
