Description

This easy and rustic stew fills your home with delicious smells while it slowly simmers away in your oven. The unexpected ingredient of tomato juice leaves the meat fall-apart tender.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Beef Stew Meat (chunks)
  • 2 cups Celery, Chopped
  • 2 cups Carrots, Chopped
  • 1  Onion, Peeled And Chopped
  • 4  Potatoes, Scrubbed, Peeled And Chopped
  • 2 cups Tomato Juice
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Minute Tapioca
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 250 F. Put all the ingredients in a Dutch oven with tight lid. Bake at 250 F for 5-51/2 hours without disturbing.
