Description

I hate potatoes, and tried to come up with something that would let me use all the yummy things that go onto a baked potato, without the potato. Here is my answer!

Ingredients

  • 6 strips Bacon
  • 3 whole Chicken Breasts (6 Halves)
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • ¼ cups Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ cups Ranch Dressing
  • 1 whole Onion (yellow Or Red Or Half Of Each)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Prepare your bacon (about one slice for each chicken breast) whichever way you like it best, until it’s nice and crispy. Chop it up into little bits and set aside.

Heat the vegetable oil on medium-high in a skillet that will fit all of the chicken. Lightly brown all of the chicken breasts by adding them to the skillet and saute on each side until they have some color, which takes around 5 minutes.

Put browned chicken breasts in a baking dish, whatever size will fit them all (I use a 9×13 Pyrex for 6 smallish chicken breasts).

Grab your bottle of Worcestershire and drizzle over the chicken liberally, probably about 1/4 cup. Gently coat each piece of chicken with ranch dressing, covering the whole piece except for what is sitting on the baking dish, using a the back of a spoon to spread it all over the chicken.

Next, sprinkle the onions on top of the ranch dressing on each piece, and then sprinkle bacon on the top as well. Finally, sprinkle cheese over each piece and over all of the toppings.

Place in your oven and cook 25 to 35 minutes, until juices run clear and chicken is not pink. Remove from oven, serve, and collect compliments from your family!

This is pretty tasty! I added a couple of mushrooms & jalapenos (only because they were left in the fridge and I didn’t have anything else to do with ‘em.) We ate it over rice for dinner (with steamed broccoli & cauliflower as sides). I’m going to try shredding up the leftover chicken and using it as a wrap filling for my lunch tomorrow.

This is sooo yummy! I made it after a LONG day at work and it was a great, easy dinner. Served with pasta and a salad. I substituted turkey cutlets for the chicken, cause my guy doens’t eat chicken. It was delicious!

Family loved it, including 4 kids aged 3-9. I made shells with ranch dressing and peas for side dishes – my husband commented that the meal went together perfectly. He cut up the leftover chicken, added it to the leftover shells and had it for lunch the next day. He said people were coming out of the woodwork saying how good it smelled. Yummy. Thanks Katrina

I made this tonight and it was quick and easy. Next time I think I will go over board on the ingredients because we like the combination of ranch dressing, cheese and Worchestershire was so good. Thanks again

So good! The Worcetshire sauce really adds a great depth of flavor to the already great cast of ingredients. I love this chicken!
