The seasoned wild rice and sage sausage give this casserole a great savory flavor that is just right on a cool evening. Serve with some crusty bread and enjoy!
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Cook wild rice according to package directions. Set aside.
Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Once it’s browned, drain off the grease and set aside.
Mix rice, sausage, onion, pepper, soup and half of the cheese in a large bowl.
Put the mixture into a greased casserole 10″ x 8″ dish and top with the remaining cheese.
Bake for 1 hour at 350 F.
