Tender, juicy, slightly sweet and non-“gamey” recipe for a venison roast.
1. Rinse roast under running water and pat dry with a paper towel. Season with pepper.
2. In a 2 quart crock pot, layer ingredients as follows: onion slices, roast, garlic, apples, bacon.
3. Mix vinegar with broth and pour over everything.
4. Cook on low for 7-8 hours.
5. Discard apples, garlic and bacon before serving. Serve roast with onion and juices.
