This is a cheese sandwich made with Navajo Fry Bread. Once you try, it you’ll never want it any other way.
Sift together the flour, salt, powdered milk, and baking powder into a large bowl.
Pour the water over the flour mixture all at once and stir the dough with a fork until it starts to form one big clump.
Flour your hands. Using your hands, begin to mix the dough, trying to get all the flour into the mixture to form a ball. Do not knead the dough. Just form the ball.
Divide the dough into 4 balls. Pat each ball into a 5 to 7 inch disk.
Heat oil in skillet to 350 degrees. Put dough disk in the oil and fry for 1 minute each side. Pat dry with a paper towel after removing from oil. Do this for all 4 disks.
Put 3 slices of cheese between two slices of fry bread. Now either put it under the broiler, toaster oven, or microwave for 30 seconds to melt the cheese.
Enjoy.
