Meat, veggies, and potatoes all in one easy dish. Loved by adults and kids!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Brown hamburger meat with onion. Layer in 9×13 casserole dish. (I agree with Ree, I don’t like gray meat so I brown it).
Drain green beans and spread both cans over meat.
Next layer cheese on top of green beans. I love cheese and want it over every square inch, so that means 6 pieces fit as they are and 2 pieces will have to be torn to fit the leftover space.
Next layer the 2 cans cream of mushroom soup.
I’m also picky about my tater tots, so I place each one by one ‘standing up’.
Cook until tater tots are browned and casserole is nice and bubbly (30-45min). If the tater tots brown before its ready, cover with foil…it’ll keep the tater tots from browning. And the leftovers are just as good!

I used to make this years ago, but couldn’t remember how I did it! I was pleased to find this recipe. Made it tonight and both my husband and I loved it. And we’re having leftovers of the same tomorrow night!

Thank you for posting this! I’ve always wanted to make this, but hadn’t looked for a recipe yet. My kids are gonna LOVE (me too) this.

mmmmmmmmmmm……this is a gut bustin’ yummy recipe. If you don’t care for mushrooms, I have used cream of celery (I know it sounds weird, but it works) and it was soooooo good.
