This shrimp dish brings together the best of sweet and spicy flavors for a Thai surprise!
For the marinade:
Mix the marinade ingredients together. Then add shrimp and combine thoroughly with the marinade. Place in a non-reactive, covered dish for 2 hours in the refrigerator. Periodically turn shrimp over for an even coating of the marinade.
To cook shrimp:
Add the stick of unsalted butter to a large skillet over medium-low heat to melt. Add the next 4 ingredients (spicy all-purpose sauce, vinegar, paprika, Creole seasoning). Stir well to combine. Add shrimp and turn heat to medium-high (to compensate for the cold shrimp). Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, turn over and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Total cooking time should be 5-6 minutes (depending on the size of your shrimp). Be sure not to overcook.
If you like, you can add a fresh squeeze of lime juice at the end before serving. Serve over hot cooked white rice with lots of sauce and garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro.

Hi. Sorry, I just saw your question. Depending on where you live, you might be able to find Country Bob’s products. Go to their website and you can put in your zip code and find out if there is a store near you. It turned out that I can buy it right down the street at Kroger!
You can also get a free bottle at their website to give it a try. Other than that, I suggest a barbecue sauce that has some substance with a bit of sweet and hot. That would probably be the next best option. My next door neighbor used that and they turned out great!

The “Country Bob’s Spicy All Purpose Sauce” ….what might be a non-regional equivalent?
Just curious.
