A 1980s vintage stove top recipe from the back of a ketchup bottle. Very easy and made with ingredients you probably have on hand.
Brown chops in oil in a skillet (the original recipe called for shortening). Add onion toward the end of the browning time. Season chops well with the salt, pepper and garlic powder (amounts listed are estimates only). Combine ketchup, tomatoes and oregano and pour over chops in the skillet. Cover and simmer for approximately 55 minutes, basting occasionally or until tender. Serve with buttered noodles or over rice.
