A quick and easy dinner that doesn’t heat up your kitchen in the steamy summer months. Plus, you can fill your pita with whatever your tummy desires.
First, trim the top 1/4 inch off of your pita pockets. This will allow you to begin stuffing.
Then push a piece of Swiss into each pocket until it lies flat.
Then add a palmful of sliced white mushrooms.
Add a few pats of butter on top of the mushrooms.
Then toss in a palmful of the turkey deli cuts.
Lie on a cookie sheet and bake until cheese is melted at 350 degrees. This should only take about 15 minutes.
I serve these with chips or salad. And, we always add mayo, ranch, or salsa to ours as condiments.
