Description

A family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 whole Onion
  • 1 box Jumbo Pasta Shells
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Basil
  • ½ cups Parmesan Cheese
  • 1-½ cup Mozzarella Cheese, Divided
  • 1 can Spaghetti Sauce

Preparation

Brown the ground beef and onion together while boiling the pasta shells as directed on the box.

Mix eggs, seasonings, parmesan cheese, and 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese together in a large mixing bowl. Once the meat is cooked, drained, and cooled, mix it into the cheese mixture.

Stuff the pasta shells with the meat and cheese mixture and place in a greased baking dish. After all the shells have been stuffed and placed in the baking dish, pour the spaghetti sauce over the shells. Cover with the remaining mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F.

These were great! I added about a cup of finely chopped spinach to my mixture…

These are very tasty, but mine ended up a little dry. I used a full size jar of Prego for the sauce, but it didn’t seem to be enough. Next time I will use another half jar, at least. Otherwise, these are great!

This is a great recipe! I use 1 to 1.5 cups of chopped fresh spinach and a jar of spaghetti sauce. This recipe will be much more dry with a JAR of spaghetti sauce instead of a CAN. So, I add a little water. It’s yummy!
