A gourmet twist on homemade pizza!
Prepare the whole wheat pizza dough. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet or pizza sheet with parchment paper (to prevent sticking).
Garlic Sauce:
Mince garlic, and saute in the butter in a small saucepan. Whisk together flour and milk; add to the garlic and butter. Stir until thick. Remove from heat, set aside.
Saute onions and mushrooms in olive oil until tender and browned. Prepare other ingredients as listed.
Spread garlic white sauce over the whole wheat crust. Top with sauted onions and mushrooms. Tear spinach and place over onions and mushrooms. Crumble bacon on top and top with mozzerella.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until top is golden brown.
You may serve this with a side of marinara sauce for dipping the crust.

This was my Wednesday-Pizza-Night recipe last night, and it was delish! It was very easy to make and prep time was not bad. The garlic sauce was very rich and flavorful, and was a great change from the traditional red sauce. thanks for posting this recipe!

I made this last night and found it was pretty simple to do. I used regular pizza dough because I couldn’t find whole wheat at Winco-but it was really good. My hubbins really enjoyed it. I will definetly make this again.
