Description

Quick, easy, light and tasty! This spicy green beans with ground turkey recipe is perfect for busy and over-indulgent December!

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 piece Ginger, About 4-inches, Finely Chopped
  • 4 whole Scallions, Chopped
  • 14 pieces Dried Chili, Left Whole
  • 7 ounces, weight Extra-Lean Ground Turkey
  • ¾ pounds, 2-⅛ ounces, weight Green Beans, Stems Removed And Cut Into 6cm Segments
  • 2 Tablespoons Cooking Wine
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • 2 whole Chilli Pepper, Stem And Seeds Removed Then Thinly Sliced

Preparation

1. In a frying pan, heat oil on medium heat. Once it’s hot add garlic, ginger, scallions and dried chilies. Heat until fragrant, about 1 minute.

2. Add ground turkey and fry for 3 minutes, breaking up the meat while you fry it. Add beans, wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce and sugar and stir to combine. Raise heat up to high. Add 2 tablespoons of water, put the lid on the pan and let the mixture simmer for about 8 minutes. Shake the pan occasionally with the lid on so the meat doesn’t burn.

3. Sprinkle fresh red chili peppers on top to serve.

Note: Dried chilies look like shrivelled-up versions of whole red chilies.
