Description

This is the first time I’ve cooked sausages in the oven. A friend of mine gave me this recipe, encouraging me to try this. She added some thyme leaves too, but I preferred not to for the first time. This is really easy and cheap. Children will love this.

Ingredients

  • 6 whole Pork Sausages
  • 1 whole Red Onion, Cut Into 6 Wedges
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Thyme Leaves Plus Extra To Garnish
  • 3 cups Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 ounces, weight Butter

Preparation

Heat the oven to 190ºC.

Put the sausages and onion wedges in a roasting tin.

Mix the soy sauce with the honey and thyme (if using), then pour over the sausages and onion. Bake for 20 minutes, making sure to turn the sausages every so often to coat in the sticky glaze. Meanwhile, boil the potatoes and make the mashed potatoes with the butter.

Serve the mash with the sticky sausages and onions. Garnish with extra thyme if you wish.
