This is a true comfort meal. I am selective when it comes to cooking in the slow cooker. The recipe has to be delicious or I will not use it again. This one is a keeper. It is wonderful served over mashed potatoes.
In a 4-6 quart slow cooker, combine steak, mushrooms, onion, celery, and garlic.
In a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, gravy mix, salt and pepper. Pour over the steak mixture.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
