This was delicious, especially after a day of hiking. I added some (frozen) corn to the recipe, and served it over wide egg noodles, with garlic bread. I’m not sure what exactly “beef steak” is, being very non-beef savvy, so I used a chuck steak, and the end result was a yummy southwest twist to the traditional pot roast. I would definitely make this again. Thanks for the good recipe! (Note on serving quantity: I used 1.5 pounds of beef, and 3 hungry hikers polished off almost the whole pot, with maybe 1/2 a serving left.)
