You’ll never turn to a packet again after you taste this simple way to create tasty filling for tacos or beef enchiladas.
In a large skillet, melt butter. Saute onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes. Add ground meat, and cook, stirring to break up, until browned.
Add seasonings and water. Bring to a simmer. Simmer, uncovered for 10-15 minutes over low heat. You want the water to evaporate but leave the meat moist and well flavored.
Taste the meat before you consider salting it. I find that it doesn’t need salt at all.
Use in tacos or as filling for beef enchiladas.
