This is a simple chicken dish that I first tasted in South Carolina. It is quick and very economical.
Cut up chicken and place in a large pot; cover with water. Cook over medium heat until chicken is done. Remove chicken from broth and debone. Place chicken back in the broth and add seasoning, onions and ketchup. Simmer until onions are done and the stew begins to thicken. Serve over rice.
