A hearty pizza for all ages!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Batch Of Pizza Dough - Homemade Or Store Bought
  • 8 whole New Potatoes (cooked And Sliced)
  • 2 Tablespoons Salt
  • ½ pounds Bacon (cooked And Broken Into Pieces)
  • 1 package Italian Sausage (1/2 Pound) (cooked And Broken Into Pieces)
  • ½ pounds Ground Beef, Cooked And Drained
  • 1 bottle BBQ Sauce (18 Oz., Your Favorite Flavor)
  • 1 package Canadian Bacon (1/2 Pound)
  • 1 block Jack Cheese (8 Oz.)
  • 1 block Mozzarella (8 Oz.)
  • 1 bottle Cholula Hot Sauce (5 Oz)

Preparation

I worked at a spiffy pizza shoppe for 3 and a half years so I have a few tips for you:

If you like a lot of toppings, put on a lot of toppings.

Always place your toppings all the way to the edge of your dough if you are doing a thin crust pizza, with no edging. If you have the standard crust on your pizza, make sure your toppings are touching the crust. (As the pizza cooks the toppings move toward the center.)

There should be some of every topping, in every bite! Yum!

Make it with love, it always turns out better.

Always go from flattest topping, ending with the fattest topping.

1. Make your dough. Place on your pizza pan or stone and set aside. (If using premade dough have it thawed and ready for use).

2. Cook your new potatoes in boiling water, with 2 Tablespoons of salt. When done, they should be just barely fork tender (we do not want soft potatoes here! They will still cook while in the oven.) Slice them. Set aside.

** With all meats, cook as much or as little of the 1/2 pound allotment as you would like. If you love meat, by all means, pack it on!**

3. Cook your bacon until crispy. Break it up into pieces. Set aside to drain grease.

4. Cook your sausage until well browned, breaking into chunks or pieces as you cook. Set aside to drain grease.

5. Cook your ground beef until well browned, then drain. Set aside.

5- 1/2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

6. Put a nice layer of BBQ sauce on the dough. You do not have to use the entire bottle. How saucy do you like your pizza?

7. Place Canadian bacon on. Work from the outside in… overlapping is allowed.

8. Place potatoes on top of the Canadian bacon.

9. Fill in with ground beef.

10. Sprinkle with bacon.

11. Sprinkle with sausage. (Remember, some of every topping in each bite!)

12. THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP: The cheese! Take your grated jack cheese and sprinkle enough cheese on so that the pizza is covered, but you can still see some of the toppings through the cheese. Move in with your mozzarella – you should put on significantly less mozzarella cheese.

13. Sprinkle Cholula hot sauce on top of the cheese if you want a kick.

14 Pop the pizza in the pre-heated oven at 400 degrees F. Bake for 10- 15 minutes. It all really depends on your oven. If the dough is browning and the cheese is melted then, you are good to go!

Enjoy!
