This was a staple in my house growing up, and I am now making it for my kids. They love it just as much as I did. Extremely easy yet so flavorful!
In a large skillet, brown pork chops well in 1 tablespoon butter. Once cooked about half-through, remove to a plate.
Add rice-vermicelli mix and 1 tablespoon butter to the same skillet. (Don’t wash it first! We don’t want to lose all those pork-flavored bits of goodness!). Saute over medium heat until vermicelli is golden brown, stirring frequently.
Slowly stir in the water and Special Seasonings (included in the box of rice); bring to a boil.
Return pork chops to the skillet, nestling them down in the rice, covered by the water as much as possible.
Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer about 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Turn pork chops once halfway through cooking.
